AMU Faculty delivered a talk on Rural Tourism

Aligarh: Prof Sheeba Hamid, Coordinator, Master of Tourism and Travel Management (MTTM), Department of Commerce, AMU, delivered a talk on “Rural Tourism for Integrated Tourism Development in India” organised by the department of Tourism, Kashmir University in online mode.

Prof Sheeba said, “Desire for escape from the monoculture of city living and increased interest in alternative and off-beat attractions is making rural tourism popular as rural locations are ideal for relaxation and rejuvenation.”

She concluded, “Growing curiosity for rural India and its culture, customs and heritages is sure to bring revival of traditional arts and crafts and it is time now to establish a rural tourism friendly environment in India”.
