AMU faculty delivers a lecture on ADR reporting

ALIGARH : Dr. Irfan Ahmad Khan, Department of Pharmacology, J.N. Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) delivered a lecture on ‘ADR Reporting and Hands-on Form Filling’, which was organized by the ADR Monitoring Centre, Department of Pharmacology, Autonomous State Medical College, Firozabad.

Dr. Irfan discussed the need for the Nationwide Pharmacovigilance Programme and the role of clinicians, dentists, pharmacists, and nurses in ADR reporting. He urged them to report all types of suspected adverse reactions with all pharmaceutical products irrespective of whether they are known or unknown, serious or non-serious and frequent or rare.

Later, he carried out a hands-on training session on ADR form filling using clinical case scenarios. More than 100 participants participated in the event.
