AMU Faculty delivers key note address at REES 2024 International Conference

Aligarh : Dr. Mohd Faisal Khan, Associate Professor at University Polytechnic, Aligarh Muslim University delivered a keynote address at the 2024 International Conference on Renewable Energy and Energy Systems (REES 2024) in Xiamen, China. Dr. Khan’s presentation focused on enhancing the performance of induction generators for wind energy conversion systems using multiphase electrical machines. Scholars and researchers from various countries, including China, India, Turkey, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Germany, attended the conference.

Highlighting the advantages of multiphase generators over their 3-phase counterparts, Dr. Khan emphasized on the significant improvements in loading topologies, reliability, fault tolerance, and power quality. He supported his arguments with compelling results from ongoing studies on five and six-phase induction generators. Additionally, he discussed the development of simulation and experimental resources for further research in multiphase electrical machines.
