AMU Faculty delivers keynote address at IIITM, Gwalior

Aligarh : Professor Mohammad Rihan from the Electrical Engineering Department at ZHCET, AMU, was invited as a keynote speaker and guest of honour at the Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management (IIITM), Gwalior. This was part of the inaugural National Conference on “Climate Change and Renewable Energy Integration towards Net Zero,” held on March 16th & 17th.

Professor Rihan talked about the solar energy’s role in combating global warming and stressed the significance of electrical engineers in achieving national sustainability objectives. He highlighted digitalization’s role and the potential of solar energy derivatives like green hydrogen. Prof. Rihan also addressed research challenges stemming from evolving power grid dynamics, emphasizing demand-side management, innovative tariff structures, and battery storage solutions. Insights from AMU’s successful solar energy integration into its distribution network were shared, alongside the need for academic institutions to adapt electrical engineering education to these advancements.
