AMU faculty delivers lecture on community engagement for nutritional awareness
Aligarh: Dr. Mariyam Fatima, Assistant Professor, Department of Home Science, Aligarh Muslim University delivered a lecture on “community engagement for nutritional awareness”, as a resource person at the Zadibal PHC, Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.
The programme was organized for the frontline health workers at the new type Primary Health center Zadibal, under the project Breath of Life-system strengthening to combat childhood pneumonia, implemented by Bal Rakha Bharat, in collaboration with the Directorate of Health Services, Jammu and Kashmir.
Dr. Mariyam focused on community participatory approaches for nutritional awareness, which consists of strategies that involve members of a community in promoting and adopting healthier dietary habits.
The programme was attended by the team of Bal Raksha Bharat and Zadibal PHC facility staff.
