AMU faculty delivers lecture on National Pension Scheme

Aligarh: The National Pension Scheme gives an opportunity to invest and accumulate savings and get lump sum amount as regular income through annuity plan on retirement, said Prof M Shakeel Ahmed Samdani, Dean, Faculty of Law, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).

He was delivering a lecture on ‘National Pension Scheme and Government’ in the national webinar organised by the Department of Zoology, PG College, Shikohabad, Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh.

In the keynote address, Prof Samdani said that the plans under the National Pension Scheme provide financial security and stability during old age and ensures that people live with pride and without compromising on their standard of living during advancing years.

He added: “There is only a minuscule chance that the government will withdraw this scheme, but there is however, a possibility of amendments.”
