AMU Faculty delivers talk

Aligarh : Dr. Shirin Rais, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics, Aligarh Muslim University, delivered a talk as a panelist on the topic “Collective Voices-Concerns to Make a Sustainable Environment” in the National Seminar held on the 8th and 9th April 2023 at the Dyal Singh College, University of Delhi.

Dr. Shirin expressed her views as an economist about polyvocality. She focused on the need, role, and influence of collective voices in changing the narratives which help achieve sustainable development. Her talk also included the study of evidence of collective voices raised for protecting nature at global, Indian, and local levels.

The Seminar was attended by prominent academicians from Thailand, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Delhi School of Economics (DSE), Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), and other prominent institutions from various disciplines working on the issues related to the environment, socio-economic and cultural aspects, etc.
