AMU faculty delivers talk on Hyperglycemia Management

 

Aligarh : Dr Hamid Ashraf, Director, Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Diabetes and Endocrinology, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) explained the essentials of ‘Management of Hyperglycemia’ in hospitalised patients.

He was delivering a talk on ‘Spectrum of Insulinization from Hospital Admission to Post-discharge’ in the ‘11th Annual Conference of Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India – U P Chapter’ at Hotel Taj View in Agra, U P.

Dr Hamid deliberated the importance of a good glycemic control in diabetic patients for improved outcomes and shorter hospital stays.

“Insulin is the usual choice of drug for the management of hyperglycemia in admitted patients and its frequent monitoring for better blood glucose control is essential,” he said.
