AMU faculty member attends conference

Aligarh: Prof BP Singh, Department of Physics, AMU, was the “Guest of Honour”, at the 6th National Conference on “Current advances in Physical Sciences” organized by the Khalsa College, Amritsar. Prof Singh in his address emphasized on carrying forward the research work in a more focused manner so that the basic research may lead to some application. .Being an experimental nuclear physicist, he elaborated the nuclear technique being used in industry that have many medical applications.

In the afternoon session, Prof Singh delivered a talk on the topic “Nuclear radiations in the service of mankind” at the Physics Department, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar under the aegis of Alumni Association Guru Nanak Dev University and Physics Student’s Society. He interacted with the students and encouraged them to take up science as a career.
