AMU Faculty Member Elected Life Member of NAMS

 

Aligarh :  Dr. Hifzur R. Siddique, faculty member in the Section of Genetics, Department of Zoology at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), has been elected as a Life Member of the prestigious National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS), India. This recognition acknowledges his contributions to medical science, particularly in the field of translational cancer research. Dr. Siddique had first been elected as a Life Member of NAMS in 2021, and in 2022, he was awarded the “Fellow Award” by the Indian Biotech Society for his work.

The AMU fraternity, including Registrar Mr. Mohammed Imran, IPS and Prof. Mukhtar Khan, Chairman of the Department of Zoology, congratulated Dr. Siddique on his achievement.

Dr. Siddique has received the Young Scientist Award (2010), Farha Deba Award (2017), and Innovative Researcher of the Year Award (2019). In 2022, AMU honored him with the Sir Syed Innovation Award for Outstanding Researcher of the Year.
