AMU faculty member Imparts Training to Dental PG students
Aligarh : Dr Pankaj Kharade, faculty member, Department of Prosthodontics, Dr Z A Dental College, Aligarh Muslim University mentored a training workshop about Prosthetic Rehabilitation of tongue and mandibular defects with implants after resection of tumor during the 26th Indian Prosthodontic Society National postgraduate convention held at Saveetha Dental College and Hospital, Chennai. Postgraduate students from various institutes of India took part in this scientific session.
Dr. Pankaj Kharade deliberated about prosthetic rehabilitation of tongue as well as mandibular defects after resection of oral tumors. He said surgical resection of tongue and mandible leads to compromised speech and chewing, disfigurement of face, affected esthetics. Prosthetic rehabilitation at appropriate time assists to improve the treatment outcome, psychological status as well as quality of life of these patients.
