AMU faculty member mentors hands-on programme

 

ALIGARH : Dr Pankaj Kharade, Department of Prosthodontics, Dr Z A Dental College, Aligarh Muslim University mentored a hands on course on clinical management of grossly destructed dentition with Post-core, Immediate implants and hard as well as soft tissue grafting during 25th Indian Prosthodontic Society National PG Convention held at Hyderabad, Telangana.

Dr Kharade said that restoration of destructed dentition is a critical procedure considering the long term prognosis of the treatment. Conservation of teeth and supporting bone is very important for successful rehabilitation.

He said that immediate dental implants with bone grafting help to rehabilitate the dentition in shorter period of time as compared to conventional implants.

Dr. Swati Sharma, an alumna of Aligarh Muslim University, who is an Associate Professor in the Department of Conservative Dentistry, Institute of Dental Education and Studies, Gwalior, was the co-mentor with Dr. Pankaj.
