AMU faculty member receives fellowship in emergency medicine

ALIGARH  : Prof. Qazi Ehsan Ali, Chairman, Department of Anaesthesiology, J.N. Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University has been awarded one-year “Fellowship under Ashwamegh Programme in Emergency Medicine” during the convocation ceremony held at D.Y. Patil Medical Institute, Pune. The fellowship is issued by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi and certified by WHO SEAR.

Prof Ali, who joined the programme in January 2022, said that under the fellowship, the candidates were trained under Faculty Development Programme in emergency medicine management. The training is focused on the process management of the patients arriving at an emergency.

The fellowship has been awarded to 20 faculties from across the country who received training at different levels of specialties, including general surgery, general medicine, anesthesia and intensive care, otorhinolaryngology and emergency medicine.
