AMU faculty member speaks on Cancer and Nanotechnology

 

Aligarh : Dr Mohammad Azhar Aziz, Director, Interdisciplinary Nanotechnology Centre, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) delineated development of Nanotechnology solutions for improving cancer diagnosis and mitigating the severity of the disease.

He was delivering an invited talk on ‘Cancer Nanotechnology: An Integrated Approach towards Personalized Medicine’ in the online Faculty Development Program (FDP) on ‘Nanotechnology: Present Advancements and Future Aspects’ of the Amity Institute of Nanotechnology, Amity University, Noida.

Dr Aziz spoke on many procedures approved for clinical use for several types of cancers including the method of Nanotechnology based immunotherapeutic agents that make cancerous cells less invasive without killing neighbouring healthy cells.

He further discussed how researchers working on cancer diagnoses and therapies are currently investigating Nanoparticles for cancer treatment.
