AMU faculty member to receive ‘Ross Life Science Innovation Award’

Aligarh: Prof Absar Ahmad, Interdisciplinary Nanotechnology Centre, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has been selected to receive the ‘Ross Life Science Innovation Award-2022’ for contributions to Nanoscience and its multifaceted applications.

He will be given a cash prize of Rs five lakhs, a gold medal and a citation in the facilitation ceremony scheduled to take place at the Ross Life Science Private Limited Head Office in Pune. The date of the ceremony will be announced soon.

Prof Absar earlier got several awards including the DBT-Tata Innovation fellowship of the Government of India, VASVIK Industrial Award, Materials Research Society of India (MRSI) Medal and CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory: Scientist of the Year Award among others.

He has published numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals and completed major research projects.
