AMU faculty members present paper at JNU

 

ALIGARH  : Prof. M J Warsi, Chairman, Department of Linguistics, Aligarh Muslim University, along with the guest teachers of his department, Dr. Noman Tahir and Dr Mehvish Mohsin, presented research papers at the National Conference on “Ethics in Human Sciences Research and Publication,” organized by the Centre of Social Medicine and Community Health at the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.

The paper, “A Linguistic Fieldwork: Some Ethical Considerations”, co-authored by Prof Warsi and Dr Tahir, discussed the ethical components that have an intricate connection with the practice of linguistic fieldwork, highlighting its fundamental significance in the processes of documenting, preserving, and reviving endangered languages.

The paper, “Current Ethical Issues of Plagiarism in Academic Writing and Publication”, jointly presented by Prof Warsi and Dr Mehvish Mohsin focused on the concept and definition, diverse forms, methods for detection, strategies for preventing, ethical implications and the underlying factors that contribute to plagiarism.
