AMU faculty present papers

Aligarh : Prof Syed Ziaur Rahman, Department of Pharmacology, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University delivered two lectures at the Pre-conference workshop on Pharmacovigilance (Ayushsuraksha 2019) held at the Institute of Postgraduate Teaching and Research (IPGT & RA), Gujarat Ayurveda University, Jamnagar (Gujarat). He was the guest of honor and a resource person.

Prof Rahman spoke on “Pharmacovigilance initiative at national and international levels” and “Setting up and operating a centre for spontaneous ADR monitoring” and discussed the Pharmacovigilance approach in addressing tropical diseases and underlined the the probable mechanism of adverse reactions occurred by the consumption of tropical foods along with conventional drugs.

He contributed two chapters to the book, ‘Compendium on Pharmacovigilance’, released by the Gujarat Ayurveda University, Jamnagar during the conference. He was re-elected as the Secretary General of Society of Pharmacovigilance India for another term.
