AMU faculty receives Award for education and social work

Aligarh: Europe and Middle Eastern division of Austrian Herz has given its international award to Prof Shakeel Ahmed Samdani, Dean, Faculty of Law, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) for advancing education and social work for weaker sections of society during the Covid 19 pandemic. He was recommended for the award by Mr Zoran Bankovic, General Manager, Herz.

Prof Samdani, founded the Sir Syed Awareness Forum (SAF) in 2004 to work for the marginalised section.

He emphasised that in an expeditiously paced world, it is great to get the honour from a reputed international organization, Herz in recognition of the promotion of the core values of social work, compassionate service to foster dignity to all individuals, and building stronger human relationships.

Prof Samdani received the award from Mr Faisal Abbasi, Business Development Manager, Herz, Middle East.
