AMU faculty receives DG’s Commendation Certificate for project report

Aligarh: Prof M J Warsi, Chairman, Department of Linguistics, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has got Director General’s Commendation Certificate of the Bureau of Police Research and Development, Ministry of Home Affairs for his project report, ‘Use of Community Policing Mechanism for Mitigating Radicalization and Evolving Effective Mechanism for De-radicalization’ aimed at harnessing a community policing approach for preventing extremism.

He received the Director General’s Commendation Disc and Certificate in the 3rd National Conference of National Police Mission.

“The report was produced with the intent of providing solutions that leave significant impacts. I hope that the recognition of the report and its implementation in the years to come will add value to police and public services”, said Prof Warsi.

He added: The report is primarily intended for policymakers and senior police officers. It may also be a useful resource for members of civil society with an interest in these issues and serve as a common reference to promote mutual understanding and trust between the police and civilians
