AMU Faculty selected as Global Young Academy Member

Aligarh : Dr. Jai Prakash, Associate Professor, Department of Physics, Aligarh Muslim University has been selected for the prestigious membership of Global Young Academy (GYA), Halle, Germany, for five years, from May 2024.

He will be inducted in GYA officially in the annual general meeting to be held in Washington, D.C., USA during 7-10 May 2024.

The vision of the Global Young Academy is science for all, science for the future; and its mission is to give a voice to young scientists around the world. The GYA members engage in working groups, strategic projects and collaborations with international partner organisations.

The Academy calls applications every year from all countries for its membership through GYA membership call. This year, the GYA welcomed the 45 early-and mid-career researchers who will become GYA members in May 2024 for tenure of five years.

The GYA’s new member cohort includes representatives from 30 individual countries, covering all GYA general disciplines.
