AMU Faculty Wins First Prize in Oral Free Paper Presentation at National Conference
Aligarh : Dr. Tabassum Nawab, Assistant Professor in the Department of Community Medicine, J.N. Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), secured the first prize in the Oral Free Paper Presentation category at the National Mid-term ISOPARB Conference 2024. The conference took place on September 7-8 at the Kalyan Singh Habitat Centre, Aligarh.
Dr. Nawab presented her research titled “Fear of Childbirth (FOC) among Antenatal Women and its Demographic, Obstetric and Clinico-social Correlates.” Her study revealed that FOC affects two out of every ten antenatal women in Aligarh, emphasizing the importance of Respectful Maternity Care and Women Empowerment in addressing this issue. The research advocates for the inclusion of maternal mental health in maternal and child health programs.
The event, organized by the Aligarh Chapter of ISOPARB, drew delegates from across India.
