AMU features in ARIIA ‘Band-Excellent’

 

Aligarh : Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has featured in the ‘Band-Excellent’ among the top-notch Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs), Central Universities and Institutes of National Importance in the recently released Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA) 2021 of the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell.

The university was judged for the top position on the parameters of excellence in academic courses, successful innovation, specialised infrastructure to promote innovation, patent filing, collaboration and partnerships with ecosystem enablers, research outputs and technology transfer.

“AMU’s true mettle and contribution to research and innovation has received due recognition with ARIIA ‘Band-Excellent’ rank. As one of the top Indian public institutions, AMU has been providing a culture of innovation to students and prepared the faculty members as innovators, out-of-the-box thinkers and problem solvers”, said the Vice Chancellor, Prof Tariq Mansoor.

Congratulating the faculty and students for the ranking, he added: “The AMU community is delighted with the ranking and we will continue with all necessary steps for promoting innovation among students and faculty”.
