AMU Football Team Players Call on the Vice Chancellor

Aligarh : The football team of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), led by Mr. Danish Khan, that stood 1st runner-up in the Central Zone Inter-University Football Tournament held at Meerut called on the AMU Vice Chancellor, Professor Mohammad Gulrez at his office.

Congratulating the team members, Prof. Gulrez expressed the hope that the AMU team will shine by performing well in the All India Inter-University Football Championship, which is being held at Jalandhar.

It is noteworthy that in the recently held Central Zone Inter-University Football Tournament, AMU football team defeated Jhansi University by 3-1, Devi Ahilya University Indore by 7-5, Bennett University, Noida by 3-2, Subharti University, Meerut by 7-6, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University by 4-1, and played a draw with LNIPE, Gwalior with a score of 2-2.

The AMU team consisted of Danish Khan (captain), Inam, Atif, Faheem, Rasiq, Atif Khan, Arif Siddiqui, Salat, Waqar, Aman Tauseef, Mahjoor, Aamir Khan, Afzal, Saqib Khan, Athar, Furqan, Mutazir Adil, Mazhar, and Sergio.

The University football coach Syed Tufail Ur Rahman accompanied the team.
