AMU fraternity attends PM Narendra Modi’s online address

 

Aligarh :  Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s address on completion of one year of transformative reforms under National Education Policy 2020 was attended by the academic fraternity of Aligarh Muslim University led by Vice Chancellor Prof Tariq Mansoor.

The Prime Minister’s emphasis on imparting primary education in mother tongue, propagation of regional and local languages, academic credit bank, academic flexibility, and launching of several digital platforms to create a self-reliant India has generated new hope. The Vice Chancellor Prof Tariq Mansoor said that a new Education Policy will certainly revolutionise education in India as it denotes paradigm shift from colonial education.

At the selection committee room the online ceremony was attended by Prof Tariq Mansoor, Vice Chancellor, Mr Abdul Hamid IPS, Registrar, Prof Naima Gulrez, Principal, Women’s College, Prof SM Jawed Akhtar, Finance Officer, Mr M U Zuberi, Controller of Examinations, Prof Wasim Ali, Proctor, Prof Afifullah Khan, OSD Development, Prof Nishat Fatima, University Librarian, Prof Shafey Kidwai, MIC PRO, and Mr Omar Peerzada PRO.

The chairmen of various departments were provided with the link and they attended the programme from their respective departments.
