AMU gets new Finance Officer

Aligarh: Professor Mohd Mohsin Khan, Department of Commerce, has been appointed as the Finance Officer of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). The order to this effect was issued here on Tuesday, August 24.

Prof Khan has served as the AMU Proctor from 2015 to 2019. He was the Dean, Faculty of Commerce (2014 to 2016) and Chairman, Department of Commerce (2016 to 2019).

He was the representative of the university teachers on the Academic Council (2004 and 2006).

His administrative experience also includes duties of Member In-Charge, AMU Gas Facility and President, Swimming Club.

An expert in Finance, Banking and Entrepreneurship; Prof Khan has published papers in peer-reviewed journals and completed a major Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) sponsored research project on ‘The New Middle Class: Impact on Growing Indian Economy vis-a-vis Consumer Market – A Case Study of Delhi and NCR (2017-19)’.

Prof Khan has been teaching the graduate and post-graduate students varied subjects such as entrepreneurship, banking and finance, company law and secretarial practice, business studies, business statistics, financial institution and market, security market operation, Indian financial system and international business for over 30 years. He has also guided many PhD students.
