AMU holds B.Sc., B.Com. and BA entrance test in Aligarh and other cities
Aligarh : Seven thousand four hundred and thirty-one (7431) students today appeared at the entrance test for admission to the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) course of the Aligarh Muslim University and 3182 for the Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) admission test from 10 am to 12 noon at various centres in Aligarh, Lucknow, Kolkata, Srinagar, Patna, Kozhikode and Guwahati.
A total number of 8844 candidates applied for the B.Sc. and 3717 for B.Com. entrance tests. For the Bachelor of Arts (BA) programme, 7394 students applied to appear for the admission test which was held today from 4 to 6 pm.
Expressing satisfaction with the conduct of the admission test, AMU Vice Chancellor, Prof Mohammad Gulrez said, “The entrance tests were conducted in a peaceful and orderly manner in two different shifts”.
He along with other university functionaries visited various exam centres to check the necessary arrangements for the smooth conduct of the tests.
Mr Mujib Ullah Zuberi (Controller of Examination) said that senior faculty members were deputed as observers and some faculty members were also appointed as overall in-charges at centres outside Aligarh.
Special National Service Scheme (NSS) help camps were organized at important places on the university campus to provide the candidates and their parents with the necessary guidance and assistance.
