AMU, IIIT Hyderabad and MNIT Jaipur Secure Joint Funding for Innovative Project

 

Aligarh : Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), IIIT Hyderabad, and MNIT Jaipur secured joint funding of Rs. 288 Lacs for the Project titled “Development of Silicon Proven IP Cores, Transceiver IC and System Prototype for mmWave Radar Sensing in Healthcare and Security Applications” under C2S Scheme of the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India. Each institute will have a share of Rs. 96 Lacs which is in addition to the access to the industry standard software/hardware tools.

 

Dr. Mohammad Wajid, Department of Electronics Engineering, is the Chief Investigator from AMU, and Prof. Mohammad Hasan, Prof. Omar Farooq, and Prof. Naushad Alam of the Department of Electronics Engineering, AMU are the co-investigators.

 

The implementation of this prestigious project encompasses various cutting-edge technologies across the domains of VLSI, Digital Signal Processing (DSP), embedded systems, antenna design, etc.

 

These advancements will be leveraged in healthcare and security applications, including automotive radar technology. The project holds tremendous potential to revolutionize these sectors and contribute to the overall advancement of technology in India.
