AMU inaugurates Subject Refresher Course for teachers and librarians

Aligarh: Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has inaugurated a Subject Refresher Course in Library and Information Science at the UGC Human Resource Development Centre (UGC HRDC) with enrolments of University/College teachers and librarians of higher education institutions from Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala and Uttar Pradesh.

Professor Abdur Raheem Kidwai (Director, UGC HRDC) said that this course will enable participants to observe teaching styles of eminent resource persons. He added that the Refresher Course also includes educational visits, evaluation and feedback.

Dr Faiza Abbasi (Assistant Director, UGC HRDC) said that the Centre is committed to facilitate learning in a comfortable and conducive atmosphere.

Professor Sudharma Haridasan (Chairperson, Department of Library and Information Science) was also present on the occasion. Professor Naushad Ali PM is the course coordinator. The Subject Refresher Course will conclude on September 27, 2017.
