AMU medical students get tablets and smartphones

ALIGARH : A Tablet/Smartphones distribution programme for medical students was organized at the Committee Room of the Faculty of Medicine, Aligarh Muslim University with Prof Tariq Mansoor, Member of the Legislative Council, Uttar Pradesh and former AMU Vice Chancellor as the chief guest. The tablets and smartphones have been provided by the Government of Uttar Pradesh to help students access internet-based educational resources and make use of them in their studies.

In his address, Prof Mansoor said that these types of gadgets are essentially required for the students of this generation and it may widen the arena of academic pursuit, especially for medical students, where new advances occur at a faster pace compared to other streams of knowledge.

Prof. Veena Maheshwari, Dean, Faculty of Medicine congratulated the students who received tablets and smartphones and urged them to make the best use of these gadgets to increase their knowledge according to the fast-changing world.

The Nodal Officer, Dr Shah Mohammad Abbas Waseem, who coordinated the programme, thanked the Government of UP for providing electronic gadgets to AMU students. He also extended a vote of thanks.
