AMU Medical Students Shine at NAMS Workshop

Aligarh  Two students from the J.N. Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University presented online posters in the National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS), India Workshop on Undergraduate Research: Logistics, Funding, and Operational Aspects, held at the Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS), Greater Noida.

Ms. Fatima Nadeem, a third-year MBBS student, secured the 1st position, while Mr. Divyansh Rana, a first-year MBBS student, achieved the 4th position in the online poster presentation.

Fatima Nadeem’s e-poster, titled “Epidemiological Trends in Pediatric Leukemia and Lymphoma: A Hospital-based Survey”, was highly appreciated and judged as one of the best posters at the workshop. Divyansh Rana’s poster was entitled “Problems in the Indian Emergency Departments in Tertiary Care Hospitals: Review Study”.

The one-day workshop aimed at addressing the basic needs of undergraduate students venturing into research, sensitizing the students to the importance of biomedical research and informing them about the available opportunities in research.

Prof. Veena Maheshwari, Dean, Faculty of Medicine congratulated both the students for their achievement.
