AMU Mourns Prof Nabi Ahmad
Aligarh: Prominent superannuated faculty member of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Prof Nabi Ahmad, Department of Education passed away after a brief illness.
Extending condolences, the Vice Chancellor, Prof Tariq Mansoor said that Prof Ahmad was a well known educationist and a sincere teacher. His demise is a personal loss for him and a big loss to the university community.
“He was an excellent academician and teacher with a wide following among students and colleagues,” said the Vice Chancellor.
Meanwhile, addressing an online condolence meeting held by the Department of Education, Prof Mujibul Hasan Siddiqui (Acting Chairperson) said that the untimely demise of Prof Ahmad is a big loss to the education fraternity.
Prof Nasrin said Prof Ahmad was a seasoned teacher, motivator and an ardent educator.
Prof Mohammad Pervez shared his personal memories about Prof Ahmad and said he was a man of great values.
Prof Gunjan, Prof Sajid Jameel and Prof Abid Siddiqui also expressed their views on the occasion.
Prof Ahmad served AMU in many capacities. He completed tenures as the Chairman, Department of Education and Coordinator, Disability Unit.
