AMU PG student presents paper at an international conference

ALIGARH : Mariyam Khan, a student of MA English Language Teaching (ELT) and a member of University Debating and Literary Club, Aligarh Muslim University, presented a paper at a two-day international conference on “India as a Linguistic Area with Special Reference to the Non-Scheduled Languages,” organized by the Department of Linguistics, University of Kashmir, in collaboration with the Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL), Mysuru, and Society for Endangered and Lesser-known Languages (SEL), Lucknow.

Her paper, “Language Death: A Study on the Threat to the Cultural Identity in the Era of Globalisation”, focused on the consequences of language death and its threat to the cultural identity in the globalised era.
