AMU professor delivers lecture at the G20 Library Summit

ALIGARH  : Prof. Naushad Ali PM, Department of Library and Information Science, Aligarh Muslim University delivered a talk on “Bibliotherapy: an innovative service for Academic Library users” and participated in a panel discussion on “Collaborative Librarianship for knowledge sharing and cultural heritage” at the G20 Library Summit, recently held at Pondicherry University, Puducherry.

The G20 Library Summit, an esteemed international conference, brought together leading professionals and experts from the field of library science across the globe to discuss emerging trends, challenges, and innovative solutions in the realm of library services in G20 countries.

Prof Ali shared insights on the best practices in Bibliotherapy, an innovative approach to library services that addresses the mental and emotional well-being of academic library users. He shed light on the transformative potential of Bibliotherapy in academic settings, emphasizing the framework for developing a Bibliotherapy service in an academic environment and its role in supporting student success and holistic development.

During the participation in a panel discussion on collaborative librarianship, Prof Ali highlighting the importance of cooperation and partnership within the library community to enhance services and resource-sharing, for knowledge dissemination and preserving cultural heritage.
