AMU professor delivers lecture on fusion reactions
Aligarh : Prof. B. P. Singh, Department of Physics, Aligarh Muslim University delivered a talk on “Disentangling Break-Up Fusion Reactions at Near-Barrier Energies” in a workshop on Physics with Recoil Separators and Large Neutron Array (PRSLNA-24) organized by the Inter-University Accelerator Centre (IUAC), New Delhi.
Prof. Singh highlighted a comprehensive exploration of fusion reactions in heavy ion collisions, emphasizing the complex dynamics of break-up fusion (BUF) processes. His extensive research employs advanced experimental techniques and statistical models to shed light on the interplay between projectile structure, angular momentum, and reaction outcomes, providing invaluable insights into BUF mechanisms.
The PRSLNA-24 workshop provided a dynamic platform for a large number of national and international experts who discussed recent trends and future prospects in nuclear physics.
