AMU Research Scholar received Best Paper Award
Aligarh : The faculty members and research scholars from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) participated in a national seminar held at DS College, Aligarh. The seminar focused on the theme “India’s Neighborhood First Policy: Accomplishments and Challenges.” Dr. Azizur Rahman and Dr. Syed Tahseen Raza chaired sessions and guided discussions on strategic aspects and regional dynamics.
Research Scholar Rounak Shahi’s paper, focusing on “Constructing the Contours of India’s Foreign Policy towards China in West Asia,” earned her the Best Paper award, showcasing the caliber of research nurtured within AMU. Shahi is currently pursuing her PhD under the guidance of Prof. Mohammad Gulrez, Vice Chancellor of AMU.
Imtiaz Ahmed, a guest faculty member, shared insights on “Navigating Complexities: India’s Strategic Diplomacy in West Asia under Prime Minister Modi.” Additionally, a group of research scholars – Mohd Ubaid, Rounak Shahi, Asmat Wali, and Ubaid – presented papers covering various dimensions of the policy.
The active participation of AMU members underscores the institution’s commitment to fostering scholarly discourse on foreign policy matters, enriching the seminar with diverse perspectives on India’s Neighborhood First Policy.
