AMU researchers bag awards at Dubai conference

Aligarh: A post-doctoral fellow and a Phd student from the Department of Agricultural Economics and Business Management, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) were conferred with the ‘Young Researcher Award’ and ‘Best Oral Paper Presentation’ respectively at the ‘2nd International Conference on Food, Health and Agricultural Innovations’ in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Dr Mohd Iqbal Rather (ICSSR Post-Doctoral Fellow) received the ‘Young Researcher Award’ at the conference, where he also presented a paper on ‘Water Footprint, Climate Change and Horticulture: A study of Apple Orchards of Kashmir Valley.’ Azad Ahmad Wani (Phd student) was conferred with the ‘Best Oral Paper Presentation’ for his paper on ‘Effects of Horticulture Gardening on Human Health: An Incentive of Investment for Self Help Groups’. Dr Rather and Wani are pursuing research under the supervision of Prof Rais Ahmad.
