AMU school students shine National Level Arm Wrestling Championship

ALIGARH  : Two students of Aligarh Muslim University’s schools won silver medals under different categories at the 44th National Arm Wrestling championship held at Sonmarg (Ganderbal), Jammu and Kahsmir.

Mehvish, a class IX student of the AMU City Girls’ High School, Qazipara bagged silver medal under 50 kilogram weight category while Prasanna, a class VIII student of AMU ABK School (Girls) won silver medal under 45 kilogram weight category.

Prof. Asfar Ali Khan (Director, Directorate of Schools, AMU), Prof Qudsia Tehseen (OSD, ABK School), Dr. Sameena (Principal, AMU ABK School), and Mr Md Alamgir (Principal, AMU City Girls’ High School) congratulated the students and hoped bigger success at national and international level competitions.

Dr. Saba Hasan (Vice Principal, AMU ABK Girls’ School) gave a memento and certificate to Prasanna and felicitated and appreciated sports teacher Mr. Shamshad Nisar for his efforts in training students.
