AMU secures #3 in India Today’s 2023 University Rankings
Aligarh : Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has secured a distinguished rank of #3 in the highly anticipated India Today Best Universities Survey 2023. Professor M. Salim Beg, Chairman of the Committee for Ranking of the University, made the announcement, greeted with satisfaction and happiness in the campus and different academic circles.
Conducted by India Today’s partner, Marketing and Development Research Associates (MDRA), from January to July 2023, the survey was an intricate affair, evaluating over 120 performance indicators. These key metrics were astutely grouped into five vital parameters: ‘Reputation & Governance,’ ‘Academic and Research Excellence,’ ‘Infrastructure and Living Experience,’ ‘Personality and Leadership Development,’ and ‘Career Progression and Placement.’
In a competitive landscape comprising more than 750 qualifying institutions, AMU dazzled. The institution’s commitment to quality education, research, and holistic development translated into an impressive overall score of 1718.8 out of 2000 in the General (Government) Universities category. This stellar performance propelled AMU to a third position, behind JNU and the University of Delhi.
AMU’s rise stands as a testament to its relentless pursuit of excellence. In the previous year’s 2022 survey, the university had secured the fourth spot, making its ascent to third place a remarkable leap forward. Moreover, AMU’s dominance among Government Universities offering the highest number of PG courses underscores its status as an academic powerhouse.
