AMU signs an MoU with Brunei’s Technology University
ALIGARH: The Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB), Brunei Darussalam to explore prospects for academic cooperation and exchange between the two universities.
The AMU Vice Chancellor, Prof Naima Khatoon and UTB Vice Chancellor, Datin Paduka Professor Dr Dayang Hajah Zohrah Binti Haji Sulaiman together signed the MoU in the presence of AMU Registrar, Mr Mohammad Imran (IPS), UTB Assistant Vice Chancellor (Research and Innovation) and an AMU alumnus, Prof Dr Mohamed Hasnain Isa and the Chairman, Department of Civil Engineering, Prof Izharul Haq Farooqi.
AMU Registrar, Mr Mohammad Imran said that the strategic alliance between the two universities aims at strengthening cooperation and working relationship in important areas of education and research, including exchange of staff and students, joint research supervision, joint research grant application, and joint efforts in conducting conferences, workshops and seminars.
Prof Farooqi added that the MoU will facilitate promotion of innovation and knowledge exchange, and the partnership will catalyse mutual growth of the two institutions and make impactful contributions to global education and betterment of society.
