AMU Spanish teacher shines
ALIGARH : Dr. Mayuresh Kumar, an Assistant Professor of Spanish at the Department of Foreign Languages, Aligarh Muslim University, has been honoured with the publication of his article in a book, titled “The Theory of Mind Under Scrutiny: Psychopathology, Neuroscience, Philosophy of Mind and Artificial Intelligence”, published by the Springer.
He has explored the complex intersections of psychology, neuroscience, philosophy of mind, language acquisition and artificial intelligence in his research paper.
Meanwhile, he demonstrated his linguistic proficiency by translating the popular Spanish novel ‘El altar del milagro’ into English. The author of the original work, Roberti Gamarra, visited the Department of Foreign Languages at AMU on February 16, and released the translated version of his work in the presence of Prof. Muhammad Azhar, Dean, Faculty of International Studies, Prof. Rakshanda Fazli and Dr. Murad Ahmad Khan.
In yet another achievement, Dr. Kumar has been selected for a fellowship for teachers to visit Spain this summer by the Castilla and León administration, Government of Spain. This fellowship announcement was made at the Instituto Cervantes, Embassy of Spain in India, in recognition of his dedication to academics and commitment to fostering international collaboration in education.
