AMU Strengthens Global Ties through Productive UAE Visit

Aligarh :  The Training and Placement Officer (General) of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Mr. Saad Hameed, recently completed a weeklong visit to the UAE. The visit aimed to explore placement and career opportunities for AMU students and strengthen relationships with alumni based in Middle East.

During his visit, Mr. Hameed engaged with several AMU alumni and professionals from various industries. The discussions focused on potential career options and collaborative efforts to facilitate placements for AMU students in the Middle East. Alumni shared their experiences and insights, emphasizing the importance of bridging the gap between academia and industry.

One of the significant meetings was with Mr. Yusuf Shamim, General Manager at Al Nahda Centre. They explored avenues for collaboration, highlighting how the center’s resources could be leveraged to create international opportunities for AMU students.

In a discussion with Mr. Tauseef Ali, Chairman of City Tower Real Estate, Mr. Hameed explored potential career opportunities in the real estate sector. Mr. Ali’s willingness to mentor students was highly appreciated.

Mr. Hameed also met Mr. Dawood Bin Ozair, Chairman of Blue Star, GCC, who shared a motivational message for AMU students, emphasizing the importance of hard work and perseverance in achieving career success.

Additionally, Mr. Hameed met Mr. Mohammed Jahangeer, Operations Manager at MAB Facilities Management, Dubai, who provided insights into the industry. Discussions with Mr. Moyeen Aziz from IFFCO, Dubai, focused on potential collaborations to enhance career opportunities for AMU students in the FMCG sector. Mr. Aziz expressed his commitment to supporting AMU students through internships and job placements.

The HR team at EFS discussed their support in placing AMU students and future opportunities. EFS plan to hire from the university soon, showcasing their continued enthusiasm for this beneficial relationship.

Mr. Imad Malik, CEO of Sharaf Exchange, discussed the financial sector’s evolving landscape and how AMU students can be groomed to excel in this field. His support in mentoring students and providing career opportunities was highly valued.
