AMU student bags ‘Best Poster Award’

Aligarh: Student at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Abid Ali was awarded the ‘Best Poster Award’ at the ‘Interdisciplinary Science Conference on Big Data and Computation Biology’ organized by the Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Basic Sciences, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, for his presentation on ‘Antimicrobial Resistance Mechanism.’

Abid worked on his presentation under the supervision of Prof Asad Ullah Khan, Coordinator, Interdisciplinary Biotechnology Unit, AMU, exploring the role of preserved NDM-1 amino acid residues in the production of antibiotic resistance.

Abid is pursuing Phd at the Interdisciplinary Biotechnology Unit in AMU.
