AMU student gets MTS Nanda Student Innovation Award

ALIGARH : Saood Ahmad, a student of M. Tech. (Robotics and Automation), Department of Mechanical Engineering, Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology, Aligarh Muslim University won the first prize in the PG category of MTS Nanda Student Innovation Award for the year 2023.

Saood was felicitated with the award at a function held at MTS-TECHSURGE-AI for Oceans conference held at SRM Institute, Chennai for his innovative work on “Implementation and evaluation of visual slam system in indoor and underwater environment”. The award carries a cash prize of Rs. 20,000, a trophy and a certificate of appreciation.

A total of 47 students from all over the country, including IITs and NITs, presented their innovations related to marine technology.

Prof. Mohammad Muzammil (Chairman, Department of Mechanical Engineering) congratulated Saood Ahmad for the achievement.
