AMU student presents paper online at a Nichols College programme
ALIGARH : Aiman Khan, a postgraduate student from the Department of English, Aligarh Muslim University, presented a research paper online on “Romance Re-imagining Itself in Fantastical Works of the 4th Industrial Revolution,” at the sixth edition of the Northeast Popular Culture Association Conference, Nichols College, Dudley, Massachusetts, offering a critical examination of reshaping literary genres in post-human narratives.
Khan focused on Marissa Meyer’s The Lunar Chronicles, a series known for its fusion of futuristic standing with classical motifs and explored how Meyer disrupts traditional conventions by integrating artificial intelligence, cyborgs and xenobiological entities.
Khan’s analysis illuminated how Meyer’s work blurs the boundaries between the human and non-human spaces inhabited by sentient technological intrusion and extraterrestrial beings.
The Northeast Popular Culture Association, founded in 1974, serves as a professional organization for scholars advancing in research and promoting interest in the disciplines of popular culture.
