AMU Student Selected for Fully Funded PhD Position at the University of Auckland

Aligarh : Mr. Wali Akhtar from the Department of Geology, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), has been selected for a fully funded PhD position in the University of Auckland, New Zealand. He will receive $33,000 per annum for three years. Additionally, the University of Auckland will cover the tuition and students services fee in full.

Mr. Akhtar will work on the proposed thesis entitled “Geohazard Analysis of Cyclone Gabrielle Landslides in Gisborne, in order to Build Back Better”.

Prof Kunwar Farahim Khan, Chairperson of the department, congratulated Mr Wali Akhtar for this achievement.
