AMU students and faculty members witness the Moon landing of Chadrayan-3

ALIGARH  : The Aligarh Muslim University faculty members, students and the school children from the AMU-maintained schools enthusiastically witnessed the great historic epoch, the landing of Indian satellite, Chandrayaan 3, on Moon, which was live streamed by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) through television and internet media.

They also listened to the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, who addressed the nation on this auspicious occasion and congratulated the people on this great feat.

The AMU Vice Chancellor, Prof Mohammad Gulrez, while expressing a sense of pride in the great achievement of the country under the dynamic leadership of the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, said it is the greatest achievement, so far, for the ISRO which made it possible for India to launch a satellite to become the first to land on the southern part of the Moon and that too without any assistance from any other country.

“India completely relied on its indigenous technological potential to make it possible, and it is really a moment for us to feel proud of our scientists who relentlessly worked to transform the dream into a reality”, he added.

AMU Registrar, Mr. Mohammad Imran (IPS) and other officials watched the moon landing of the Chandrayaan-3 at the conference room of the Administrative Block.

The live streaming of the historic landing of Chandrayaan-3 was also organized in all the schools managed by AMU. A large number of schoolchildren looked on the history unfolding with awe.
