AMU students’ hybrid vehicle gets sixth rank

Aligarh: “Albatross”, a three-wheeled hybrid vehicle designed by the “Green Warriors”, a group of BTech students of the Zakir Hussain College of Engineering and Technology, Aligarh Muslim University, got an All India Rank 6 at the ‘EFFI-CYCLE 2019’ show held at Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar, Punjab, organised by Society Of Automotive Engineers, Northern India Section.

The team received a trophy and cash prize for being judged as the most appreciated vehicle among 118 vehicles that took part in the event.

The seventh-generation hybrid vehicle is designed to curb the polluting emissions and can be driven both by electrical and human force. The vehicle also passed the endurance run test without any breakdown.

The faculty advisors, Mr Nafees Ahmad and Dr Syed Fahad Anwar congratulated the team members, which includes Mohd Saifuddin Ansari (Captain), Imbesatur Rahman (Vice-Captain), Vedang Sharma (Treasurer), Chandrajeet Suresh Kumar Singh, Hira Khan, Chanchal Attri, Vaibhav Sharma, Shivam Gupta, Emad Raza Khan, Shubham Varshney, Jyoti Kumari, Aditya Kumar Singh, Mohd Zain and Arquam Hashim Siddiquie.
