AMU students present paper in International Conference

Aligarh: B Tech (Electrical Engineering) students of Aligarh Muslim University, Imran Pervez and Ifham H Malick presented paper on “A Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) Method using a Hybrid PSO and Grey Wolf Optimization Algorithm” at 2019 IEEE 2nd International Conference on “Power Energy, Environment and Intelligent Control” held at G L Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management (GLIBTM), Greater Noida.

In the presentation, they discussed how solar cells with complex relationship between temperature and total resistance produce non-linear output efficiency.

The work was carried under the guidance of Assistant Professors, Dept. of Electrical Engineering Dr Mohd Tariq, Dr Adil Sarwar and Mr Mohammad Zaid which was based on the control techniques of power at the output of a solar PV array so as to achieve the optimal combination of voltage and current at the output. The opted metaheuristic algorithm for the purpose was implemented on MATLAB platform.
