AMU students qualify various National Tests
Aligarh : Scores of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) students affixed clear future paths for admissions in research programmes, university teaching positions and jobs in public sector companies by qualifying the National Level Tests of CSIR-NET, CSIR-JRF, JRF, NET, IIT-JAM and GATE exams.
Prof Kr Farahim Khan (Chairman, Department of Geology) announced that the fifteen students who cracked the IIT-JAM exam from the Department of Geology include, Ehtasham Rahi (AIR 22), Asif Wakil (AIR 78), Shailesh Singh Chaudhary (AIR 90), Mohd Almas Riyaz (AIR 117), Shakib Iqbal (AIR 132), Syed Hadiyah (AIR 158), Mohd Adeeb (AIR 180), Mohd Arbaz (AIR 238), Mohd Kokab (AIR 254), Anta Asim (AIR 351), Faraaz Ahmad (AIR 369), Kashif Khan (AIR 371), Setu Sharma (AIR 413), Tabna Touseef (AIR 482) and Shoeb Khan (AIR 500).
He added that 15 students from the Department of Geology have also qualified the CSIR-UGC NET/ JRF.
They are Ramish Mehdi (JRF-AIR 20), Hilal Ali (JRF-AIR 12), Azka (JRF-AIR 47), Tariq Masood (JRF-AIR 110), Shah Hussain (JRF-AIR 139), Kumail Ahmad (NET-AIR 4), Ghulam Nabi (NET-AIR 46), Ghulam Asif (NET-AIR 54), Mohd Mahfooz (NET-AIR 80), Meyarul Islam (NET-AIR 82), Abdul Ahad Ansari (NET-AIR 88), Mohd Monis Malik (NET-AIR 90), Mohd Atif Raza (NET-AIR 110) and Tabish Ashrafi (NET) and Shariq Sohel (UGC NET).
Meanwhile, Geology students Ramish Mehdi, Riyazuddin, Mohd Hilal Khan, Afzal Khan and Sayema cracked the GATE Exam.
From the Department of Botany, 14 students qualified various national level tests.
“They are Natasha Garg (CSIR-NET-JRF), Arshad (NET), Afreen Akhtar (CSIR-NET-JRF), K M Nigar (CSIR-NET-JRF), Neha Chaurasiya (CSIR-NET-JRF), Saurabh Kumar (UGC-NET-JRF), Mohammad Sohail Ashraf (NET), Sabrina Nazeer (NET), Nazish Akhtar (NET), Renu Rajput (CSIR-NET-JRF), Anayat Mir Rasool (CSIR-NET), Sonia Waqar (CSIR-NET), Jasveen Kaur (GATE) and Rajat Gautam (CSIR-JRF)”, informed Prof Ghazala Parveen (Chairperson).
Nazra and Saima Aman cracked the JRF exam from the Department of Home Science, notified Prof Farzana Alim (Chairperson).
According to Prof Mohammad Afzal (Chairman, Department of Zoology), postgraduate student, Shigufta Ali cracked the GATE Exam in two different papers of Life Sciences and Ecology and Evolution. She has also cracked CSIR-NET in Life Sciences.
Dr Haris Hasan Khan (Chairperson, Department of Remote Sensing and GIS Applications) informed that Remote Sensing and GIS Applications students, Qazi Zeeshan, Mohammad Sajid, Akmal Shamim and Krishan Kumar qualified the GATE exam.
