AMU teacher delivers a lecture at a national webinar

ALIGARH : Dr. Syed Shariq Naeem, Department of Pharmacology, J.N. Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University delivered a lecture on “Monitoring of Clinical Trials by Institutional Ethics Committee” at a national webinar held on “Biomedical Ethics with emphasis on GCP guidelines (Reorientation training programme for IEC members” which was hosted by the Regional Research Institute of Unani Medicine (RRIUM), under the auspices of the Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM).

The webinar aimed at enhancing the knowledge and efficiency of IEC members across the country, ensuring adherence to the highest ethical standards in biomedical research.

Dr. Naeem provided comprehensive insight into the pivotal role of ethics committees and emphasized that monitoring clinical trials is not just about compliance with regulatory frameworks but also about safeguarding the dignity, rights and well-being of participants.
